IASPM 2017 Conference Proceedings

As an experiment new to IASPM, the first volume of conference proceedings (edited by Julia Merrill) was prepared and published IN ADVANCE as print and ebook in the “Systematische Musikwissenschaft” series of the Springer, Heidelberg. It is now available here:

https://link.springer.com/book/10.1007/978-3-658-17740-9

All authors received free access to their contribution, and the volume is also available though many university libraries (via SpringerLink)

As only about 10% of all presenters contributed to the first volume, a decision was made at the General Meeting on June 29, 2017 that further volumes should be produced. If your contribution was originally accepted by the academic committee and NOT included in the first volume, you now again have the option to submit a full paper to be included in the next proceedings volume. It will be edited by Ivana Medić and Marija Dumnić.

In order to be included in the proceedings, you are required to submit a formatted and proof-read full-paper of your presentation both as MS WORD or LIBRE OFFICE and PDF-files by Dec 22, 2017 to the address iaspm2017.proceedings@gmail.com.

The templates for formatting (MS Word and Libre Office) were updated and must be used. They can be downloaded below, maximum length is 10 PDF-pages including references (approx. 3500 words). This space need not be filled, you may also submit an extended abstract with just a few pages. The arrangement includes that all rights will go to Springer, so please do not contribute if you do not agree. Also, please make sure you do not include copyrighted lyrics or pictures and the like (more details in the templates).

Template downloads:
» MS Word file format
» Libre Office file format (coming soon)
» Consent to Publish (PDF)

In case of panels, each of your panelists can contribute a separate text or you can join something together creatively using the templates provided. In the latter case, we would prefer to correspond with just one person. And in fact, we’d appreciate if not each of the 43 panels would fill complete 40 pages.

If your contribution was already included in the first volume and if you wish to publish an extended / updated version or something else, please consider submitting to IASPM@JOURNAL.
